JAMMU, Aug 14: Co-incharge BJP All Cells, J&K, Ved Sharma here today visited Panchayat Khandwal in R.S Pura and held a meeting in which he talked about various developmental schemes and initiatives introduced by Central and J&K Governments.
The meeting saw the participation of prominent local figures including Panch Bodh Raj, Sodagar Singh, Neetu Ram and Sukhdev Choudhary.
Ved Sharma highlighted the unwavering commitment of PM Modi led Government to develop rural areas at par with urban ones.
He underscored initiatives by the Government aimed at uplifting rural infrastructure, improving connectivity and providing better healthcare and educational facilities to villagers. Sharma emphasized that these schemes are designed to bridge the gap between rural and urban areas, ensuring holistic development across the nation.
Prominent issue raised by the public was that of hefty electricity bills following the installation of smart meters and Sharma assured them that their concern would be taken up with the relevant authorities.
Ved Sharma also discussed various other schemes and programmes implemented by the Central and State Governments and mentioned about PMAY, PMGSY, Ayushman Bharat scheme and Jal Jeevan Mission.
Panch Bodh Raj emphasized on the importance of such interactions.
