Cops mishandled criminal case: SC-ST-OBC organizations

JAMMU, Aug 16: Joint Action Committee (JAC) of SC, ST and OBC organizations has expressed concern over the mishandling of an alleged criminal case of FIR No. 136/2024 dated 16-05-2024 under Sections 376, 307 IPC by Police Station Domana.
In a press conference here today representatives of SC, ST and OBC organizations claimed that the case was also mishandled at Women Police Station Gandhi Nagar and the investigating officers deliberately omitting crucial evidence to shield the accused and his associates.
They demanded immediate recovery of the dead body of the child for last rites, transfer of the case to CBI, suspension of investigating officers and ensuring safety and security of the victim and her family.
Those who addressed the press conference included R.K Kalsotra, president All India Confederation of SC, ST, OBC Organizations; Sham Lal Basson, president All J&K Dalit Chetna Manch; Prof G.L Thapa; Mohinder Bhagat, president All J&K Bhagat Mahasabha; F.C Satia, general secretary All J&K Prajapati Sabha; Prof Kali Dass, general secretary All India Backward Classes Union; Kewal Krishan Fotra, president All J&K Sain Samaj Sabha; Ramesh Bhasin, chairman Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Bishnah; Sham Lal Kundal, president Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha R.S Pura; Madan Lal Basson, president Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Akhnoor; Sunita Bangotra, president Savitri Bai Phule Mahila Sangathan; Roshni Kumari, Social Activist and Rani Devi, mother of the alleged victim.
