JAMMU, Aug 16: All India Congress Committee president, Mallikarjun Kharge today appointed Congress Working Committee (CWC) member, Tariq Hameed Karra as president of the J&K Unit of the Congress party.

Former Dy Chief Minister, Tara Chand and senior party leader Raman Bhalla have been appointed as working presidents for the J&K Unit. Bhalla was already holding this post.
Congress president also appointed outgoing JKPCC president, Vikar Rasool Wani as special invitee to Congress Working Committee (CWC). Karra has been relieved from his current position as permanent invitee to the CWC.
