JAMMU, Apr 9: Ten persons were injured when the mini-bus they were traveling in skidded off the road and turned turtle near Gadigarh check post.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JKO2Q-9927 was on its way to Jammu from Badyal Brahmana, when the driver lost control over the steering resulting the vehicle turned turtle near Gadigarh check post.
On getting information, police team from Gadigarh police post led by SI Khayati Maan Khajuria and locals rushed to the spot and started rescue operation.
All the injured were rushed to Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar in police and other vehicles from where five were later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for advanced treatment.
The injured have been identified as Sushil Kumar, son of Mahesh Chander of RS Pura, Prem Dass, son of Sain Dass of Kalakote, district Rajouri, Ram Tirth, son of Gian Chand of district Kathua, Koushalaya Devi, wife of Krishan Lal of Channi Rama, Satpaul, son of Panshi Ram of Talli Morh, Subash Bakshi, wife of Bushan Bakshi of Rehari, Kamaljeet Kaur, wife of Inderpal Singh of Sainik Colony, Karan Sharma, wife of Om Parkash of Bhagoti, Tehil Nowshera, Suresh Sharma, wife of Des Raj of Bishnah and Santosh, son of Mohinder Lal of Bagnoti.
A case under relevant Sections has registered at Gadigarh police post and manhunt has been launched to nab the absconding driver.
