JAMMU, Aug 17: Taking immediate cognizance of the problems of business community of Indira Market Shopkeepers , parade, Yudhvir Sethi, vice president of J&K BJP, resolved this pressing issue within hours.
Earlier in the day, officials from the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) had sealed 36 shops in the market, creating a wave of distress among the local business community.
The intervention by Yudhvir Sethi came as a beacon of hope for the affected shopkeepers. Recognizing the economic and emotional turmoil caused by the abrupt sealing, Sethi immediately took up the matter with the JMC authorities including Rakesh Gupta, Joint Commissioner JMC and Sanjay Badyal, Dy Commissioner North.
Sethi also took up the matter with the new JMC Commissioner, Devansh Yadav who assured him to reopen all the shops within one hour.
His timely and effective mediation resulted in a favorable outcome, allowing the shopkeepers to resume their business activities without further hindrance.
Speaking on the occasion, Yudhvir Sethi emphasized the importance of maintaining a harmonious relationship between the administration and the business community. “The livelihood of many families depends on these shops, and it is our responsibility to ensure that their operations are not disrupted unjustly. I am grateful to the JMC Commissioner and other senior officers for their cooperation and prompt response to our concerns,” he stated.
Sethi further said, “Our Government is committed to supporting small businesses and ensuring their growth and prosperity. Today’s resolution is a testament to our dedication to addressing the grievances of the common people promptly and effectively. The BJP stands firmly with the business community and will continue to work towards creating a conducive environment for their operations.”
The shopkeepers of Indira Market Parade expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Yudhvir Sethi for his swift action and unwavering support. They acknowledged that his intervention not only prevented a prolonged shutdown of their business but also reinforced their faith in the administration’s willingness to listen and act in their best interest.
