SAMBA, Aug 18: JKPCC working president, Raman Bhalla today claimed that Congress will form next Government in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Accompanied by Sanjeev Sharma, district president Samba, Ex-MLA Devi Dass, Bhalla addressing public meeting in Ramghar Constituency at Panchayats Sadho and Keso, said that J&K people are eagerly waiting for Congress Government in J&K. He said Congress since 2014 has been continuously fighting anti- people policies of the Centre and LG’s Administration in J&K UT, besides defeating the challenges faced on various fronts especially, misleading politics of BJP.
“Party is supreme and every worker is bound to further strengthen it at grass roots level and serve people as Congress has the legacy of serving and strengthening the people,” Bhalla said.
Former Minister said Congress will form next Government in Jammu and Kashmir. He said BJP despite knowing very well that bureaucratic rule has never been alternative to democratically elected Government deliberately deprived people of J&K from democratically elected Govt. He said now with intervention of Supreme Court , finally people of Jammu and Kashmir will vote for Assembly elections and teach a lesson to BJP.
Bhalla said people are fed up of the anti-people, anti-poor, anti-trader, anti-employee and anti-farmer policies of BJP Government. They will definitely show this party its place in the Assembly elections.
Noting that Jammu and Kashmir still awaits full statehood, he alleged the recent moves by the Union Government have only added to the powers of the Lieutenant Governor there, “making a mockery of the powers of a duly elected state Assembly. Expressing confidence that the Congress will bounce back in a revitalized form on the J&K’s political scene, Bhalla said Congress enjoys support of all sections of society and are eagerly waiting for Congress Govt.
Former Minister Yashpal Kundal said that Congress has been the most vocal and active champion of the progress of the backward and oppressed classes and castes over the last seven decades. However, caste discrimination is still a reality. The people belonging to the SC, ST and OBC communities have not yet been able to catch up with the rest and are still left behind.
