BSF seizes 2 kg heroin after brief encounter

 

FEROZEPUR, Apr 10: The Border Security Force (BSF) jawans have seized two kg heroin and three Pakistani SIM cards after a brief encounter with intruders from the area under Mamdod sector on Indo-Pak border, BSF sources said here today.

BSF Assistant Inspector General (AIG) A K Sharma said that BSF jawans noticed some suspicious movement on the border. When challenged Pak intruders opened fire which was retaliated by the jawans. However, intruders were successful in sneaking back into the Pak territory.

On search, jawans recovered two kg heroin, worth Rs 10 crore in the international market, and three Pakistani SIM cards from the spot this morning. (UNI)
