JAMMU, Aug 19: One person was booked for selling banned nylon thread (Gattu dor) in Ghou Manhasa area here today.
Based on reliable information, a team of Border Police Post (BPP) Sandwan led by Incharge BPP conducted raids in several shops of kite sellers in Ghou Manhasa area falling under the jurisdiction of Police Post Pounichak, said a police official.
During the raids, he said, 6 rolls of the nylon thread (Gattu dor) were seized from the possession of one person identified as Rajinder Kumar of Ward Number 3, Ghou Manhasa, Jammu.
Police have arrested and booked the accused under the relevant sections of the law, added the police official.
