H&ME orders review of engagements in GMCs, GDCs

Srinagar, Aug 19: The Health & Medical Education Department has formed a multi-member committee to review the engagements of all the incumbents in Government Medical Colleges and Government Dental Colleges on academic arrangements basis.

The Committee, as per the order, shall also identify the officers/officials responsible for making engagement(s)/allowing extensions(s) on academic arrangement basis beyond the period permissible under rules, “fix responsibility and submit its specific recommendations within a period of 30 days.”
“Sanction is, hereby, accorded to the constitution of a committee to review the engagements of all the incumbents in Government Medical Colleges and Government Dental Colleges of J&K on academic arrangement basis made under relevant SOs/SROs and identify flouting of rules, if any, while making engagements/granting extensions.”
The members of the committee include Director Finance, H&ME Department, designated as the Chairman, Chief Accounts Officer GMC, Jammu/Srinagar and the Assistant Law Officer, H&ME Department as members.
