Crude palm oil futures remain weak on sluggish demand

NEW DELHI, Apr 11:  Crude palm oil remained weak for the second straight day and prices fell further by 0.32 per cent to Rs 555.70 per 10 kg in futures trading today as speculators trimmed positions amid sluggish demand in the spot market.
Adequate stocks in the physical market also put pressure on crude palm oil prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in April fell by Rs 1.80, or 0.32 per cent to Rs 555.70 per 10 kg in business turnover of 54 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in May shed Rs 1.40, or 0.25 per cent to Rs 551.50 per 10 kg in 58 lots.
Analysts said sluggish demand against adequate stocks positions mainly influenced crude palm oil prices at futures trade. (PTI)
