LEH, Aug 20: The Administration of Union Territory of Ladakh has invited final suggestions and objections from the stakeholders for the draft Unified Building By-Laws UT of Ladakh.
The draft bylaws were earlier put in public domain on 22nd December 2023 and 16th March, 2024 inviting suggestions / objections from the stakeholders.
The received suggestions from Leh, Kargil and other stakeholders were placed before the Technical Committee for review. The technical committee, headed by the Chief Engineer PWD, had an audience on June 3, 2024 and agreed to recommend inclusion of some of the suggestions received.
Following completion of this exercise, the revised draft Unified Building Bye-Laws, 2024 of UT Ladakh have been again put in public domain inviting final suggestions and comment from the stakeholders, if any, for a period of 30 days.
As per the notification in this regard, the comments and suggestions may be sent via mail at prsecladakh@gmail.com or by post to the office of the Under Secretary Housing & Urban Development Department UT Secretariat, Leh.
The suggestions and comments received will be put up to the technical committee and will be examined by them for inclusion or otherwise on technical parameters.
Thereafter based on the final recommendation of the technical committee, the bylaws will be published.
