JAMMU, Aug 21: Former Minister and senior BJP leader, Choudhary Sukhnandan Kumar said that the Modi led BJP Government has written a new chapter of growth and prosperity.
Addressing a meeting at Mishriwala Pandorian in Jammu North constituency, Sukhnandan said the day when Article 370 was abrogated was a historic day for J&K and development on all sectors started after that day. Even the Kashmiri youth who was being ruined by Kashmir based political parties are working hard now to compete at national level in competitive exams and sports.
The former Minister further said that after the abrogation of Article 370, J&K has replaced terrorism with tourism, replaced stones with computers. The youth of J&K and women are seeing a new sunrise.
Tourism has touched a new high in J&K which never happened when Abdullahs and Muftis and Congress ruled the J&K, said Sukhnandan.
PM Modi Government’s policies and LG Manoj Sinha’s administration have ensured that terrorism is on the decline, and the region is witnessing a new era of peace and stability, said Sukhnandan.
He said the Congress had been party to the reckless exodus of Kashmiri Pandits whereas the Modi Government has created atmosphere for them to return. The Modi Government has taken concrete steps to ensure their safe return and rehabilitation.
The Congress’s criticism of the economy is also unfounded, as Jammu and Kashmir has seen unprecedented investment and growth since 2019. The New Industrial Policy has attracted significant investment, and the region is witnessing a new era of economic prosperity, Sukhnandan Kumar said.
He further said the Modi Government was committed to holding elections according to the Supreme Court’s deadline, but the Congress was trying to politicize the issue for their own gains. “Now motivate all to participate in voting process and elect BJP to lead the J&K,” said Sukhnandan.
The people of Jammu and Kashmir have rejected the Congress’s divisive politics, and they will continue to support the Modi Government’s development agenda, Ch Sukhnandan said.
