All Jammu Cottage Industry Union formed

JAMMU, Aug 21: Weavers and artisans here today held a meeting to discuss the burning issues confronting handloom and handicraft workers of Jammu province.
It was decided in the meeting to form a Union to bring the artisans on one platform and to bring the issues they are facing before the authorities concerned.
The meeting was presided over by Vinod Koul, ex-GM JKHDC and was chaired by BJP leader, Chander Mohan Sharma.
It was decided in the meeting to form a Union with name All Jammu Cottage Industry Union to address the issues of artisans of cottage industry and Chander Mohan Sharma was elected as chairman/patron.
The executive presidents elected were Shuban Kumar (Handicrafts) and Vinod Koul (Handlooms); Sureshta Khanmotra was made secretary (Handicrafts); Rajesh Sharma, secretary; Sushma Rani, secretary (Handloom) and Aminder Kour, treasurer (Handloom).
Vote of thanks was given by Vinod Koul.
