JAMMU, Aug 22: Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Jammu Mahanagar here today organized ‘Akrosh’ rally and demanded justice for the doctor who was raped and killed in West Bengal.
The rally was organised in solidarity with the rape victim to demand swift action against the perpetrators of the heinous crime.
Harish Sharma, secretary ABVP Jammu Mahanagar addressed the rally and condemned the brutal crime as a shameful act that shocked the conscience of the nation.
He emphasized on the need for stringent action to ensure justice to the victim and to prevent such incidents in future.
“Such heinous crimes cannot go unanswered. We demand that the authorities should take immediate and strict action to bring the culprits to justice,” the ABVP leader maintained adding: “This is not just about a single incident but for the safety and dignity of every woman in the country.”
