MUMBAI, Aug 22: Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu and Kashmir unit has got the green signal from the party high command to participate in the Assembly elections declared in Jammu and Kashmir.
The first list of candidates finalized and the ‘Vachan Nama’ for the people of Jammu and Kashmir have been released.
After a thorough discussion in a meeting held with the high command and Jammu and Kashmir unit chief at Sena Bhavan, Mumbai, party MP, Anil Desai released the party manifesto and the first list of candidates for Jammu and Kashmir and issued the mandate with best wishes for victory.
Giving detailed information after the meeting, Sahni said that the party chief Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray was very worried about the breach of promise with the people of Jammu and Kashmir, violation of the rights of the local people and the inability to safely return Kashmiri Pandits to the Valley.
The party state unit was instructed to gear up to participate in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections with the resolve to restore the rights of the sons of the soil. Following which, as soon as the dates of the elections were announced, the state core committee presented the list of state-level candidates and the manifesto based on the aspirations of the people before the high command. The party high command has now given the green signal. Sahni said that the names of the party candidates will be announced in Jammu on August 23.
