JAMMU, Aug 23: Nowabad Police have successfully apprehended three drug peddlers in two separate operations, seizing a significant quantity of illegal substances.
In the first incident, a police patrol from Police Post Canal Road noticed a suspicious individual at Javed Nagar, Nikki Tawi. When the suspect attempted to flee, the police quickly intervened and apprehended him. The suspect, identified as Manzoor Kazi, a resident of Kharian near SOS School Jammu, was found in possession of 3.88 grams of a heroin-like substance. A case has been registered against him under FIR Number 127/24 U/S 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Nowabad.
In a separate operation, a police team from Police Post Talab Tillo, while patrolling Kabir Colony Chowk (Talab Tillo), stopped two individuals for a routine check. The suspects attempted to escape but were promptly caught by the police. Upon searching their bags, the police recovered 166 Diazepam 2 ml injections and 120 Promethazine Hydrochloride 2 ml injections. The suspects have been identified as Aman Radha of Anand Nagar (Bohri) and Rahul Bassan of Kabir Colony (Talab Tillo). A case has been registered against them under FIR Number 128/24 U/S 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Nowabad.
