REASI, Aug 23: The first phase of randomization of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) for the upcoming General Election to the Legislative Assembly was conducted in Reasi under the supervision of District Election Officer (DEO) Vishesh Mahajan. The process was carried out in the presence of representatives from various political parties and senior officials, ensuring transparency and fairness.
During the randomization, DEO emphasized that the purpose of the randomization is to ensure free and fair elections with no human intervention. He highlighted that the randomization is conducted using dedicated software to uphold electoral integrity. He assured that all necessary measures have been implemented to guarantee transparency throughout the electoral process.
Interacting with the members of the political parties, DEO requested them to ensure adherence to timelines for permissions and also ensure that they contribute in having a peaceful and positive campaign in the district. On his part he assured that the District Election Authority is committed to free and fair polls and shall ensure that there is no violation of guidelines by any body.
The others present during the randomization were ADDC Sukhdev Singh Samyal, Nodal Officer MCC Kulbhushan Khajuria, Deputy DEO Rakesh Kumar, Returning Officers (ROs) for AC-56, AC-57, and AC-58, along with other concerned officers.
