JAMMU, Aug 23: A complete half-day bandh was today observed in Leh district as a mark of respect to seven persons who lost their lives in a tragic road accident at Durbuk in Leh district yesterday.
All shops and business establishments remained closed in Leh district.
In the evening, people took out a candle light march in Leh town to express solidarity with the accident victims.
Meanwhile, death toll in the mishap stayed at seven and the injured at 20.
As reported, Lamdon School bus carrying staff members and two children was on way to a wedding function when it rolled down into the gorge resulting into seven casualties and 20 injuries.
