Jammu, Aug 24: A sole multilingual literary Organization Adbi Kunj today celebrated its 50th foundation day (golden jubilee) programme at K.L. Sehgal Hall (Writers Club) Jammu. The programme was presided over by writer senior journalist & social activists Sohail Kazmi.
Suresh Gupta, Principal Secretary of Culture Department was chief guest, Dr. Ashwani Jojra (founder president Sahyog India & President Special Olympics Bharat JKUT) was guest of honor, Rajinder Sharma (Ex Mayor JMC) was special guest in the programme.
Sham “Talib” President Adbi Kunj was present on the dais. Ramesh ‘Raaz’ Kishtwari presented the welcome address before the programme. Two books were released in the programme including Meri Noor Pari writen by Pushpa “Rattan” (Retd. Dy. Accuntant General) and Saamved translated in Hindi poetry by Ramesh Gupta (Retd. Chief Engineer ).
The litrary personalities who were also honored were Awardies of golden jubilee of Adbi Kunj J&K including Sohail Kazmi, Dr. Ashok Gupta, president Yuva Hindi Lekhak Sangh, Rajpal Singh ‘Mastana’ (President Punjabi Sahitya Sangam, Abdul Qadir ‘Kundaria’ (Dogri Earth poet) R. Jarangal (Retd. Dupty Commissioner husband of late Pushpa ‘Ratan’ writer of ‘Meri Noor pari’, Ramesh Chander Gupta, translator of ‘Saam Ved’ in hindi poetry, Gh. Sarwer Chohan ‘Habeeb’ Vice Chairman, M.S. ‘Kaamra’ general Secretary.Adbi Kuj, Pyaasa Anjum secretary ‘Sathi’ K.R. Salgotra Dogri writer, abvocate O.P. Thakur novelist, Shashi Verma, writer & journlist, Kumar ‘Raaz’ young Urdu-Hindi poet.
15 Desh Bhagti singers & musicians were also honoured including Dharmesh Nargotra. All the songs were written by the members of Adbi Kunj J&K. “Aarash” Dalmotra chairman & M.S.”Kaamra”, General Secretary Adbi Kunj presented the vote of thanks in the end.
