SUNDERBANI, Aug 24: A workers meeting of Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) regarding preparation of upcoming Assembly elections led by its Provincial vice president, Jammu and Member Working Committee, former Legislator, Ashok Sharma was held at Loharakot, Sunderbani, today.
The former Legislator while addressing the workers’ meet said that the people of Sunderbani have been deprived of the basic facilities which includes shortage of medical equipments and daily medical supplies in Government Hospital, Sunderbani, non-availability of Fire Brigade Station, lack of infrastructure for Public offices, non-availability of sports stadium, etc.
With the non-availability of Science and Commerce stream for Undergraduates and Postgraduates has suppressed the students to migrate to Jammu for persuing their higher education which adds additional expenses upon the parents, he added.
Sharma assured the workers that there will be zero tolerance against corruption and drug menace and pledged to make Kalakote-Sunderbani a model constituency if DPAP gets the mandate of the people of Kalakote-Sunderbani.
The burning issues of the masses including the regularization of daily wagers, SPO’s, Asha workers, Lamberdars and Chowkidars, etc are pending since last two decades which have not been redressed by the ruling dispensations and local representatives depriving the general and underprivileged people of their basic rights.
Sharma urged upon the people of Kalakote-Sunderbani to choose the candidate and vote wisely by comparing the manifesto and socio-political contribution of the candidates towards the society and the general public of Sunderbani-Kalakote.
