JAMMU, Aug 24: Dr Sandeep Bhat, Assistant Professor in the Department of General Surgery at GMC Jammu, delivered an important talk on the laparoscopic management of colonic (intestinal) cancers at the prestigious AMASICON Conference (Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India), held recently in Hyderabad.
Dr Bhat, a senior gastrointestinal cancer surgeon and invited faculty for the conference, spoke in detail about colorectal cancers, shared his long-term experience, and presented his data with results, along with pictorial and video presentations.
The deliberation was highly appreciated by the attendees, including renowned figures in laparoscopic cancer surgery such as Dr C Palanivelu and Dr Ardhnari. It is worth mentioning that Dr Bhat is trained in gastrointestinal cancer surgery from Medanta-The Medicity and Galaxy Care Centre. He is a pioneer in the laparoscopic management of GI cancers, having performed advanced procedures for more than a decade and with many advancements to his credit.
