JAMMU, Aug 24: All J&K RTC Volunteer Retired Employees Association members here today staged a protest demonstration under the leadership of Dev Raj Bali, Association president.
The protesters raised demands like release of Cost of Living Allowance arrears from the year 1999 to December 31, 2005; release of arrears of 6th Pay Commission from January 1, 2006 to March 2012 and DA arrears from April 2012 to March 2021.
The protesters claimed that Finance Department, Transport Department Higher Authorities of J&K and BoD members were harassing them and lingering their case of long pending arrears.
Sat Bhushan Singh, Surinder Singh, Balwinder Singh, Rajinder Sawhney, Shiv Kumar, G.S Tohra and others were also present in the protest.
