SRINAGAR, Aug 24: The district president Baramulla for National Conference (NC) and constituency In-charge Uri, Dr Sajjad Shafi Uri today launched his election campaign for the upcoming Assembly polls in the Uri constituency.
Uri began his campaign by visiting the local shrine, Ziyarat Baba Gafoor Sahib in Peerniya, Uri, where he paid his respects and prayed for the welfare and betterment of Uri.
On this occasion, the people of the area warmly welcomed him and a Dastarbandi ceremony was also carried out.
He interacted with locals and party supporters in Peerniya and also made a stop in Nowshera to engage with residents there and was taken to uri in the form of rally.
