JAMMU, Aug 25: The Mission Ambedkar Society Khour organized function regarding honouring of meritorious students of 10th and 12th class in the premises of Gurudwara Shri Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj Khour.
All the students of 10th and 12th class who obtained 80% to 99% marks were honoured on this occasion.
While speaking on this occasion Director Finance, Darshan Kumar, Shamlal Basson, Madam Sunita Bangotra, D.L. Radha, Ram Nath, Vikram Singh, Bodh Raj delivered speeches on this occasion and gave a message to the students to work hard sincerely to achieve the goal. Some students delivered speeches on the life and mission of Bharat Rattan Baba Saheb, Dr. B.R Ambedkar. The prominent personalities of Dalit communities paid floral tribute to Baba Saheb, Dr. B.R Ambedkar.
About 50 students of different Dalit communities of 10th and 12th class were honored by providing medals and portraits of Baba Saheb.
Darshan Lal Loach, Director Finance assured every possible help to the students and library will be established in the premises of Gurudwara Shri Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj Khour. The literature of educationists like Krantijyoti Mata Savitri Bai Phule, Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phule, Shahu Ji Maharaj, E.V Ramaswami Naiker, Periyar Lalai Singh Yadav, other great personalities of Bahujan Samaj will be made available in the library.
Sham Lal Basson assured the students to provide books like Har Ghar Samvidhan and Har Ghar Ambedkar will be provided to the interested students and exam will be conducted before Constitutional Day to be celebrated on 26th November 2024. The meritorious students will be honored on Constitutional Day.
While speaking on this occasion Sunita Bangotra assured every possible help to the deserving students whether in the shape of books or financial help. The media persons namely Sandeep Kumar and Mohit Kumar were honored on this occasion.
Those who were honoured on this occasion included Sham Lal Basson president Dalit Chetna Manch and ex Corporator, Darshan Lal Loach, Director Finance, Sunita Bangotra – president Savitri Bai Phule Mahila Sangathan, Rattan Lal Bangotra – Retd MDO, Bodh Raj, Mohan Lal (Retd) ZED, Ramesh (retd) ZEO, Pardeep Kumar, Ramesh Kumar, Ram Nath president Kabir Sabha Khour, Vikram Singh, president Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Khour.
