JAMMU, Aug 25: National Secular Forum (NSF), Jammu University Unit here today organized a function and paid rich tribute to the freedom fighter Rajguru on his birth anniversary.
Slogans like ‘Rajguru Amar Rahen’ and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ were raised by NSF activists and the portrait of Rajguru was garlanded.
Ankush Abrol, NC provincial joint secretary and former member BCCI was chief guest while Dr. Vikas Sharma, NC secretary central zone and former president JURSEA presided over the function.
Dr. Sukhdev Singh, State president NSF was guest of the honour. Speaking on the occasion, Ankush Abrol threw light on the life of Rajguru who was hanged by the British Government along with Bhagat Singh and Sukhdev.
Among other things, Dr. Vikas Sharma said, if NC is voted to power, they will provide 1 lakh jobs to the youth of J&K.
Dr. Sukhdev Singh also spoke on the occasion while Mohd Umer Farooq, president Jammu University Unit delivered the welcome address and Abhishek Uppal, Jammu District Chairman delivered the vote of thanks.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion were Vikshay Vashist, Roshan Sharma, Vineet Gupta, Arun Singh, Ishtyaq Ahmed, Rashid Husain and others.
