SRINAGAR, Apr 12: Shailendra Kumar, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, called on N.N Vohra, Governor, at Raj Bhavan today.
Mr. Kumar briefed the Governor about the steps being taken by the administration to alleviate the hardships faced by the public due to the continuing inclement weather. The Governor and the Divisional Commissioner also discussed internal security related issues in the context of the forthcoming polls.
Prof. Talat Ahmad, Vice Chancellor, Kashmir University also called on Mr. Vohra.
Prof. Talat briefed the Governor about the arrangements made for the International Conference on “Molecular Mechanism of Disease Process” in Kashmir University, which is being inaugurated tomorrow by A.P.J Kalam, ex- President of India. The Governor and the Vice Chancellor also discussed issues relating to the Academic Session 2014-15 and certain major events which are planned to take place later in the year.
