Badyal takes over as Air Officer Commanding Begumpet

JAMMU, Apr 12: Air Commodore Suresh Badyal has taken over as the first Air Officer Commanding of Air Force Station Begumpet from Group Captain E Krishna Prasad.
The Air Officer was commissioned in the Indian Air Force in 1984 and is an alumnus of the prestigious National Defence Academy and Defence Services Staff College.
Since its inception in 1951, the Station has so far been commanded by officers of the rank of Group Captain.
The Air Officer has an impeccable track record of flying for more than 3000 hours as a navigator.  A thorough professional, Air Commodore Suresh Badyal has earlier done an instructional tenure at the same Station. He has held many prestigious appointments in varied fields in the Indian Air Force, which includes working with front line operational squadrons. He has also been selector at the Central Airmen Selection Board and Chief Administrative Officer of an operational IAF Station.
Prior to taking over the command of Air Force Station Begumpet, the Air Officer was the Deputy Director General of National Cadet Corps of Andhra Pradesh region.
