BHADERWAH, Apr 12: Holding Congress and BJP responsible for scrambling and pathetic condition of the Chenab region, former Union Home Minister Prof Chaman Lal Gupta said resentment among masses have increased in Chenab region due to the capitulation of interests of Jammu by BJP and Congress for their political survival and vested self interest.
He added that these groups have acted contrary to the claims of being the advocates of Jammu cause. Terming the hilly belts of State as worst sufferers of opportunistic politics, Gupta pointed out that political groups are exploiting the people of the hilly regions by making commitments which they never fulfill. In the majority of cases these representatives never show their faces in the areas where they are looming during the elections for fetching the votes.
While holding election rally here, Gupta appealed the people to show exit doors to these representatives who come in local lime light only during the election season for just acquiring the power. He said despite different odds the people of this region have always stood united to take on the anti-social elements and maintain the communal harmony and mutual brother hood.
It is irony of fate that the level of discrimination in this region is highest as compared to other regions of the State. He appealed the electorates to vote for Anil Gupta on April 17, who is the bright face and his victory will take State to a logical conclusion in every sphere.
Gupta said that the youth have to play an important role in developmental activities and have a responsibility to take the party in right perspective.
“JKDF is fast growing political group which has emerged as peoples’ voice in short span of time. Our objective is to focus on peoples’ problems and developmental activities. Jammu Region has been made victim of discrimination, injustice and mis-governance. It is duty of party workers to reach to the masses in order to know their problems and highlight the same”, he said.
Murari Lal, Prashant Puri, Ashok Manhas, Geeta Manhas, Sonika Manhas, Shivali katal besides many others accompanied Prof Chaman lal Gupta during election rally.
