MENDHAR, Apr 12: Police has registered a counter FIR against former MLC and senior PDP leader Mohd Rashid Qureshi, Nadeem Khan-Youth PDP leader (son of local MLA) and some other party activists for instigating people for alleged attack on NC workers/ agents and creating violence.
The police said that Ex-MLC, M R Qureshi from PDP, local MLA’s son Nadeem Khan and some other people from the PDP party have been booked in case FIR No. 45/ 2014, under Sections 147/341/323 RPC. Counter FIRs have been lodged from both the sides and the Mendhar and Gursai police were investigating the matter.
The police also said that no one has been arrested so far. The police was also recording the statements of the eye-witnesses.
The police said that two separate cases have also been lodged by PDP against the local MLC and senior NC leader, his two PSOs and some party workers for the alleged attack on Qureshi. The investigation in all the three separate cases has been launched. The senior officers including IGP Jammu and DIG Rajouri-Poonch were monitoring the development in these cases.
