ANANTNAG, Aug 27: In a boost for the Congress party, the DDC Member Peer Shahbaz and former Secretary of J&K Legislative Assembly Mohd Maqbool Bhat today joined the party in a function held here today.
Both the leaders expressed full faith under the pro people policies and programmes of the Party.
All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary Ghulam Ahmad Mir welcomed both Peer Shahbaz and Mohd Maqbool Bhat into Congress, terming their joining a welcome step.
Speaking on this occasion, Mir said, “Peer Shahbaz and Mohd Maqbool Bhat are well known personalities of Dooru, they will definitely utilize Congress Platform to serve people of Doru to the best of their ability.”
“I welcome them into Congress Party and hope their joining will inspire other right-thinking people to come forward to support Congress Party’s struggle, it’s uncompromising fight against assault on democratic institutions and public rights,” he added
Both Peer Shahbaz and Farooq Ahmad Bhat vowed to further strengthen Congress and serve the people of Dooru to the best of their ability and with great dedication.
