INFOSYS, ICT Academy launch 15-day training program at Dogra Degree College

SAMBA, Aug 27: Dogra Degree College, Bari Brahmana, in collaboration with INFOSYS and ICT Academy, has inaugurated a 15-day training program titled “Premier Banker” to enhance the skills and holistic development of its students. The college is the first in Jammu and Kashmir chosen by INFOSYS and ICT Academy to host such a program, aimed at equipping students with essential technical and professional skills for personal and career growth.
The training, spanning 100 hours from August 27 to September 12, focuses on enhancing 21st-century skills, particularly communication. The inaugural ceremony, held on August 27, 2024, in the college auditorium, began with an introduction to the training program by Aditi Khajuria, Faculty at Dogra Degree College. The event featured Dr. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary of Dogra Educational Trust, as the chief guest, along with other dignitaries and resource persons who commenced the program with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony to seek blessings from Goddess Saraswati.
Dr. Bela Thakur, Principal of Dogra Degree College, welcomed the attendees, including the chief guest, dignitaries, resource persons Zenab and Aadil, and the students. She emphasized the importance of such training programs in equipping students with valuable skills for their future endeavors.  Ajaaz Yousuf, Relationship Manager at ICT Academy, thanked the college for organizing the event and providing a venue, highlighting the program’s potential to significantly enhance student skills.
Dr. Samar Dev Singh Charak congratulated the college’s principal and staff for organizing the event and encouraged students to participate enthusiastically. He praised the initiative for fostering both personal and professional growth. Dr. Dharamveer Sharma, Dean of Academic Affairs at Dogra Educational Trust, also lauded the college’s efforts and encouraged regular workshops and training sessions on campus.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Kanchan Dubey, IQAC Coordinator at Dogra Degree College, and was well-coordinated by  Aditi. This training program reflects the college’s commitment to providing quality education and skill development opportunities for its students.
