Samba police arrests bootlegger with 50 bottles of whisky

SAMBA, Aug 27: Intensifying its drive against the sale of illicit liquor, Police has arrested a bootlegger and recovered fifty bottles of illicit liquor of 180 ml each from his possession in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ramgarh.
Acting on a reliable information about sale of illicit liquor in Gho Brahmana area, a police party of Police Station Ramgarh headed by SHO Ramgarh rushed to the spot and caught red-handed the accused from his own ‘Karyana’ shop selling illicit liquor to the general public in the area and recovered 50 bottles of JK Special Whisky of 180 ml each from his possession.
The accused person identified as Rajinder Kumar son of Bansi Lal of Ramloo Brahmana, tehsil Ramgarh, district Samba has been arrested.
A case FIR No. 80/2024 US 48 (f) Excise Act has been registered against him in Police Station Ramgarh and investigation started.
