MARH, Aug 28: In a significant political event, several young leaders and their followers joined the Congress Party under the leadership of Mula Ram, pledging their support for his nomination from Marh constituency.
The event, which was well-attended, on Tuesday underscored the growing discontent among the youth and general populace over the State of Affairs in Marh.
Speaking to the gathering, Mula Ram criticized the BJP-led Government’s handling of key issues, highlighting the acute unemployment, rising inflation, and increasing crime rates that have plagued the region.
He expressed concern over the worsening conditions in Marh, including the spread of drugs among the youth, the activities of the sand mafia and the acute shortage of drinking water.
“The BJP Government has destroyed the future of our youth,” Mula Ram said.
“Unemployment is at its peak and inflation is making life difficult for the common man. Criminal incidents are on the rise and the spread of drugs is ravaging our younger generation. The introduction of Smart Meters has only added to the woes of the people, leading to exorbitant electricity bills. The State of our roads is deplorable and there is a severe lack of Government-provided ration and healthcare facilities,” he said.
Mula Ram assured the gathering that once the Congress comes to power, they will prioritize job creation and take Marh on a path of sustainable development.
“We will bring jobs back to Marh, address the issues of inflation, improve infrastructure and ensure the safety and well-being of our citizens. The Congress Party is committed to the holistic development of this region and we will work tirelessly to make it a reality,” he said.
Many people joined Congress on the occasion. Prominent among those are- Er Rajinder Kumar, Dr Bansi Choudhary, Sagar Choudhary, Neeraj Chaudhary, Rattan Lal Sharma, Jagdish Sarpanch, Gopal Sarpanch, Pradeep Salaria and Karanjot Singh.
The event saw hundreds of youths from the Marh block expressing their frustration with the current BJP Administration and their hope for a better future under Congress leadership.
