JAMMU, Aug 28: A Shradhanjali Karyakram on the occasion of Hindu Sangarsh Divas organized by Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra was held here today.
The function was presided by Dr. M. K. Bharat, Chariman SSK.
Moti Lal Malla, a senior Social activist revered community member was the Chief Guest, Ashok Ji Braroo (social activist) was the guest of honour, while Autar Krishen Trakroo (Prant Karyavah, J&K) was a special guest on the occasion.
In the presidential address Dr. M.K. Bharat paid tribute to the martyrs by reciting a few verses out of his own creative poetic writings, which were inspiring.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Ji Braroo threw light on the genesis of the agitation and apprised the community of the facts behind the whole agitation and asked not to get swayed with the deliberately floated rumor that the agitation was a failure. It is absolutely untrue, no agitation culminates with all achievements it aims at.
Malla in his address appealed that the martyrdom of young people like Maharaj Krishen Razdan, Hirday Nath Matoo, Pt. Lasa Koul, Gopi Nath Handoo, Autar Krishen Khashu shall be remembered all times.
A. K. Trakroo said that the community should remember that we are not docile as is ordinarily called by a few.
