Burglary case worked out: Police

JAMMU, Aug 28: Police in RS Pura Area here claimed today they have solved a burglary case by arresting one person, who has been accused of stealing three cattle.
A police official said on August 26, 2024, one Haji Mohammad Bashir son of Mohammad Yousuf of Agra Chak, Tehsil RS Pura, District Jammu, lodged a written complaint with Police Station RS Pura, stating therein that on the intervening night of August 25-26, 2024, an unknown person entered into his cattle shed and ran away with three goats.
On this, he said, a case FIR number 186/2024 under section 331(4)/305 BNS was registered at Police Station RS Pura and investigation started.
Followed by this, the police official said that a team under the supervision of SHO RS Pura accompanied by incharge BPP Agra Chak apprehended a suspect identified as Mohammad Saleem of Belicharana, Jammu, at present Kalaali Tibba, Kadyal Tehsil RS Pura and put him to thorough questioning.
“He confessed to his involvement in the crime and on his disclosure, the stolen cattle were recovered,” said the police official, adding that further investigation is underway.
