JAMMU, Aug 29: A fire broke out this evening in a hardware shop near Paloura ground in the jurisdiction of Police Station Janipur.
The fire was reported in the hardware shop, M/s Shiv Shakti Traders, around 8:30 PM by some locals who informed the owner of the shop, Digvijay Singh and also reported the matter to Fire and Emergency Services.
A fire tender from the nearby Fire Station reached the site and doused the flames but till then several articles including interior of the shop had been completely damaged.
Janipur Police had taken cognizance of the matter and started investigation into the causes of the incident.
