SIT framed to further investigate Saubhagya Scheme scam

JAMMU, Aug 29: Director Anti Corruption Bureau J&K Shakti Kumar Pathak has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to conduct further investigation into Rs 500 crore Saubhagya Scheme scam as directed by Special Judge Anti-Corruption Jammu.
The SIT comprising of DySP Imran Malik and Inspector Inder Dev Sharma has been constituted under the overall supervision of Rakesh Kumar, SSP P/S ACB Doda. The team has been asked to expedite further investigation and submit progress report on weekly basis to Anti-Corruption Bureau Headquarters.

Vide order dated August 13, 2024, the then Special Judge Anti Corruption Bureau Tahir Khurshid Raina had rejected the closure report filed by Anti-Corruption Bureau after pointing out several lacunas in the investigation conducted into Rs 500 crore Saubhagya Scheme scam.
The Special Judge had also pointed out the steps required to be taken by the ACB during further investigation to be completed within a period of two months.
