DODA, Aug 31: A woman here today lost her life while her husband was injured after the car they were on board veered off the road and landed in a deep gorge in Malhori area.
Police sources informed that the ill fated car of Alto make bearing registration number JK02AN-1516 fell into the gorge resulting in on spot death of the woman while her husband, who was driving the vehicle, suffered injuries.
The deceased was identified as Mumtaza Begum, wife of Mohsin Ahmad Kanth, 36, resident of Kani Zewar, Kishtwar.
The injured was identified as Mohsin Ahmad Kanth, 44, son of Abdul Wahid, resident of Salam Kani Zewar, Kishtwar and he was shifted to GMC Doda for treatment.
The couple was travelling from Assar to Doda/Kishtwar and on reaching Malhori, Khellani, the vehicle met with an accident.
Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
