POONCH, Sept 2: The dead body of an elderly woman who was missing from the last few days was today recovered from the river in Dingla area of Poonch district.
Family members said that the woman was missing since August 31 and a missing report was also registered in Police Station, Poonch in this regard. The family and relatives were searching for her from the day of missing.
Today, an information was received that her dead body was found in the river in Dingla area after which locals followed by SDRF and J&K Police recovered the dead body and shifted to District Hospital, Poonch.
Officials identified deceased woman as Fatima Bi, wife of Abdul Salam Lone, resident of Seri Khawaja. Doctors said that after legal formalities the dead body was handed over to family for last rites,
SHO Poonch Kunal Singh Jamwal informed that an inquest proceedings has been initiated in the matter.
