KISHTWAR, Sept 2: BJP candidate from Kishtwar Shagun Parihar has intensified here campaign by addressing serious of meetings in various villages of Dachan.
She was given an emotional welcome enroute by the people who assured full support and vote to her. Terming her the daughter of Kishtwar the voters said that the people of Kishtwar can never forget the supreme sacrifice given by the family as her father and uncle worked throughout their life for fostering the inter community bond in the region.
Addressing the public gatherings at Dachan and surrounding villages Shagun assured the people that she will strive hard to come up to the expectations of the people and work for the development of this far flung area ensuring good road connectivity, power supply, health care facilities, etc.
Shagun cautioned the people against the divisive forces and anti people policies of National Conference and Congress. She said though these parties ruled the J&K and Centre for years but they failed to pay attention towards the development of Kishtwar where people lacked basic facilities of life despite the fact that every time the elected representatives from this area were ministers either in State or Central Government.
Instead of serving the people they created a divide among the different communities for vote bank politics and in comparison to that the BJP is committed to Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas irrespective of their caste, religions and region. She said Kishtwar and Doda districts suffered a lot during over three decades turmoil which was the cause of wrong policies of earlier NC and Congress Governments. The BJP Government is committed to restoration of peace ensure development and welfare of the people, boost agriculture, horticulture production and power generation in the region besides promoting tourism.
