JAMMU, Sept 3: Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Jayesh Gupta today sought vote and support for his party in upcoming Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, stating that AAP is the only viable alternative to traditional parties who always cheated the voters.
Interacting with voters during door to door campaigning in Channi area of Bahu Assembly Constituency, Jayesh Gupta said people of J&K have repeatedly given chances to the NC, PDP, Congress and BJP but there has been no improvement. “Over the past 75 years, the problems being faced by the people have only increased under different Governments,” he claimed.
Appealing to the people to vote for the AAP in the upcoming Assembly elections, Jayesh said, “Delhi and Punjab are on the path of development under the AAP Government. “In Delhi and Punjab, AAP Governments provide free electricity to people while education and healthcare sectors have seen significant improvements. 70 per cent of households in J&K and Delhi have been receiving zero electricity bills for the past two years,” he asserted.
“In 75 years, the promises made before the elections were not fulfilled by any political party. There are some people who say that it was an election campaign, and the promises made before the elections are not fulfilled. We are not like that. We are honest,” he said, adding that time has come for change in J&K and like Delhi and Punjab; an AAP Government will be formed in the Union Territory.
Meanwhile, during the campaigning, Jayesh interacted with traders and common masses and listened to their problems. He assured them that their problems will be resolved on priority if AAP forms the Government in J&K.
