JAMMU, Sept 4: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has constituted a panel headed by Administrative Secretary Finance Department for overseeing and monitoring the implementation of Prime Minister’s Package for Employment and Skilling as announced in the Union Budget 2024-25 in the region.
As per an order, the panel would be assisted by Administrative Secretaries of the Industries and Commerce Department, Skill Development Department, Provident Fund Commissioner J&K, any other member as may be co-opted by the Committee as members and Administrative Secretary, Labour and Employment Department as Member Secretary.
The order further said that the committee has been tasked with coordinating the rollout of the Prime Minister’s Package for Employment and Skilling, guiding and coordinating all activities relating to the implementation of the package, laying down targets for expeditious implementation of package, and ensuring active participation of stakeholding departments and other related organizations in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
