JAMMU, Sept 5: BJP national spokesperson, R P Singh took serious exception to statement of former Chief Minister and National Conference (NC) president, Dr Farooq Abdullah for stating that if they fail short of majority in the ensuing Assembly elections in J&K they will take support of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in formation of the Government.
Commenting on Dr Abdullah’s statement during a debate in a news channel today, Singh said this exposes the intensions of Gupkar Alliance. “They can stoop to any level for power as NC and its leaders are in great desperation for remaining out of power for one decade”.
He said by joining hands with PDP they want to implement their separatist agenda. He asked Congress party to clear its stand on Dr Abdullah’s statement that alliance will seek PDP’s help in the formation of Government. “Is Congress on board with what Dr Abdullah said” asked Singh?
Singh said the statement of Dr Abdullah shows the NC’s desperation and they have accepted the defeat before the elections.
He ridiculed NC saying that earlier they did not consider the party to be part of the pre-poll alliance while Omar Abdullah even dictated terms to her that not to field candidates against NC -Congress candidates as NC considered the J&K their own kingdom where no other party has right to think of forming a Government.
