UDHAMPUR, Sept 5: District Police Udhampur launched a special drive against traffic violators throughout the district.
In this regard, special nakas were established at different locations of Udhampur town and in rural areas of the district. Police challaned 307 vehicles, out of which 44 were seized for traffic violation in different areas of Udhampur.
All the territorial officers were personally monitoring the drive against the violations of traffic rules, especially overloading in the passenger vehicles commuting from far flung areas of Udhampur like Panchari, Ramnagar, Basantgarh, Latti, etc.
Two wheeler riders without helmet, driving rash and in negligent manner, triple riding etc were specifically targeted.
