UDAHMPUR, Sept 5: Two narco smugglers were arrested by the police today. During frisking 35.37 gms of heroin was recovered from their possession.
Reports said, a police team led by SHO PS Rehambal and assisted by IC PP Tikri while performing routine naka checking at Tikri naka point stopped one vehicle bearing registration number JK02CF 3172 (Baleno Car) for checking purpose.
On frisking/checking of driver and co-driver of the vehicle, approx. 35.37 grams of heroin (chitta) like Contraband substance was recovered from the possession of driver namely Shabir Ahmed S/o Mohd Sultan R/o Janglat Badi, Anantnag and co-driver namely Hazim Hussain S/o Mohd. Iqbal R/o Qazi Bagh, Anantnag.
Both the accused persons were arrested on spot.
A case vide FIR No. 194/2024 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Rehambal and further investigation was set into probe.
