JAMMU, Sept 6: Senior BJP leader and contesting candidate from the Jammu West Assembly segment, Arvind Gupta reaffirmed the Party’s unwavering commitment to ushering in a new era of prosperity and development in Jammu & Kashmir. He lauded the BJP manifesto launched by Union Home Minister Amit Shah here today, calling it a blueprint for transformational change in the region.
Arvind Gupta highlighted key promises made in the manifesto, particularly focusing on the creation of 5 lakh jobs, a major initiative to address the unemployment issue in J&K. “The BJP Government is determined to empower the youth of this region by offering them not just jobs but opportunities for growth and success,” he said.
Further, the manifesto promises tablets and laptops for students in remote areas, a significant step towards bridging the digital divide and enhancing access to quality education. “Our vision is to equip the younger generation with the tools they need to succeed in today’s world, regardless of where they live,” Gupta added.
He also echoed the sentiments of Amit Shah, who emphasized that previous Governments had only engaged in the politics of appeasement. Among the many people-centric promises, the BJP has committed to Rs 18,000 per year to the eldest woman in every family under the ‘Maa Samman Yojana,’ along with two free cylinders per year under the Ujjwala scheme.
Additionally, college students will receive Rs 3,000 per year as a travelling allowance under the Pragati Shiksha Yojana. The Party also promised the complete eradication of terrorism from J&K, with a pledge to bring out a white paper to fix accountability on those responsible for the rise of terrorism in the region.
Arvind Gupta appealed to the people of J&K to support the BJP in the upcoming elections. “Our manifesto is not just a document of promises; it is a vision for a peaceful, prosperous and united J&K,” he asserted.
