Addressing a BJP election public rally after the filing of the nomination by Pawan Gupta, Dr Jitendra Singh said, the ideological struggle of BJP started from the days of Praja Parishad founded by Prem Nath Dogra and was also one of the key agendas of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh for which our Founding Father Syama Prasad Mookerjee laid down his life. He said, therefore, it is the obligation and duty of each of BJP Karyakartas to live up to the spirit of nationalistic integration inspired by Mookerjee and fulfilled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the 5th August, 2019.
Dr Jitendra Singh asked, today at a time when 21st century India is assuming a global profile, is it not improper and unbecoming to think of reverting back to a social arrangement where one section of society is discriminated vis-à-vis other and a large proportion of population is deprived of its legitimate rights. Similarly, he asked, at a time when Prime Minister Modi is spearheading cause of women-led development, will it not be inhumane and outrageous to deprive women of equal rights and deny a daughter of Jammu & Kashmir any claim to the land and property rights of her parents if she chooses to marry a spouse who is not a domicile of Jammu & Kashmir.
Dr Jitendra Singh said, for the first time when Prime Minister Modi took over in 2014, Jammu & Kashmir had found an outlet for its rich natural resources which were left unexplored for over half a century. Today we have a large network of roadways, the world’s highest railway bridge and Purple Revolution in the form of Aroma Mission, which is becoming a role model for the entire country. Similarly he said, Udhampur has given India the Milk Food recipe of “Kalari” under “One District One Product” programme and has potential to develop as future Milk Industry.
It is therefore, said Dr Jitendra Singh, in the interest of not only the region but also important for our future generation that the benefits of new arrangement and integration of Jammu & Kashmir enabled by Narendra Modi is kept intact so that tomorrow when Viksit Bharat of 2047 reaches the world pedestal, Jammu & Kashmir can have a leading role in India’s growth.
This will ensure avenues of employment, business, well-being and prosperity for the youth of Jammu & Kashmir who have already lost three generations at the altar of mindless terrorism perpetrated from across the border and facilitated by parties like Congres who extracted national political interest out of it, said Dr Jitendra Singh.
