UDHAMPUR, Sept 7: In a remarkable display of public support, Pawan Kumar Gupta, BJP’s candidate for Udhampur West, organized a massive nomination rally that attracted thousands of enthusiastic supporters. The rally began from Gupta’s residence and passed through key local areas such as Gole Market and Mukherjee Bazaar, culminating in a grand event at Subash Stadium.
The Rally saw active participation from BJP supporters, eager to back Gupta’s candidacy in the upcoming elections. Prominent BJP leaders, including Ram Madhav, BJP’s election In-charge for Jammu and Kashmir, and Dr Jitendra Singh, Union Minister and Member of Parliament for Udhampur-Doda, also graced the event.
Pawan Gupta addressed the gathering, highlighting the major developmental projects accomplished during his tenure as MLA. He praised the socio-economic initiatives undertaken by the BJP-led Government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, emphasizing the positive changes brought to J&K. He urged the people to vote for the BJP, assuring them that their continued support would further accelerate development.
In his speech, Ram Madhav confidently projected that BJP would secure 35 seats in the upcoming Assembly elections and form the next Government with a BJP Chief Minister at the helm. He called for the rejection of dynasty-based politics, which he said had stalled progress in the region. Madhav also revealed plans for the Central Government to establish Udhampur as a pharmaceutical manufacturing hub, a move expected to create numerous employment opportunities for the local youth.
Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh delivered a compelling closing address, urging voters to support Pawan Kumar Gupta and help BJP realize the aspirations of the people of Jammu. He criticized past Kashmiri leaders for misleading the people while ensuring a comfortable future for their own children abroad.
