JAMMU, Sept 9: BJP national general secretary, Tarun Chugh here today debunked the wild propaganda raised by NC leader, Dr. Farooq Abdullah holding BJP responsible for fear among Hindus.
Chugh, who is also the party Prabhari for J&K and Ladakh, said Hindus in J&K know the role of Abdullahs and Muftis when extreme brutalities were committed on them and Abdullahs and Muftis were mute spectators.
He claimed that Abdullahs and Muftis turned a blind eye when lakhs of Hindus had to leave the valley in the face of extremist violence.
The senior BJP leader said: “PDP and NC have no agenda for the welfare of J&K.”
When asked about Farooq Abdullah’s allegation that BJP was instilling fear among voters, Chugh said: “The high voter turnout in the recent Lok Sabha elections, the restoration of democracy at grassroots levels and a significant decrease in stone-pelting and organized strikes are few examples of the peace and democracy restored by the Government led by PM Modi.”
He said that support for Bharat being Vishwa Guru was not expected from NC.
“BJP’s electoral success can be attributed to its policies on economic development, welfare schemes and national security,” Chugh maintained adding: “Being the world’s largest party and having elected PM Modi for a third term speaks of the choice of people of our country.”
He criticized Omar Abdullah for diverting the election narrative by questioning Afzal Guru’s execution.
Chugh condemned Rahul Gandhi for praising China’s manufacturing capabilities during his US visit, calling him a traitor who lets down his own country on foreign soil.
“Today India is a leading manufacturer and exporter of mobile phones, toys and other essential goods. We are now leaders in defence manufacturing and exports,” he continued.
The BJP leader said that in every sector India is leading and will be world’s third-largest economy by 2047 under the vision of Viksit Bharat.
