JAMMU, Sept 9: In a strategic move to bolster security and ensure smooth law enforcement ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections, top officers from the Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF conducted a comprehensive review in the districts of Doda, Kishtwar, and Ramban.
The high-level delegation included ADGP Law & Order J&K, Vijay Kumar; ADGP CRPF J&K Zone, Rajesh Kumar; and ADGP Jammu Zone, Anand Jain.
They were joined by senior officers including IG CRPF, IG CRPF Operations, DIG CRPF, DIG DKR Range, Army Commanding Officers, Adhoc COs of various Companies, ADDCs, and district police officials.
The meeting featured detailed presentations by the SSPs of Kishtwar, Doda, and Ramban on the current security scenario and election preparedness.
Key points covered included crime trends, security measures, and strategies for ensuring a safe and orderly election process.
ADGP Vijay Kumar emphasized the critical need for maintaining peace and security throughout the electoral process.
He urged all participants to stay vigilant and proactive, highlighting the importance of robust coordination between security agencies to address any challenges that may arise.
Emphasizing community engagement, Kumar encouraged officers to build trust with local communities and conduct public outreach programs to promote participation in the elections and reinforce the importance of a free and fair voting process.
ADGP CRPF Rajesh Kumar stressed the need for constant operational readiness, directing that mock drills and scenario-based exercises be held regularly to ensure preparedness for any emergencies during the election period.
Meanwhile, ADGP Jammu Zone Anand Jain focused on deployment strategies, instructing the mobilization of additional forces in sensitive areas and underscoring the importance of intelligence gathering and timely information sharing to effectively manage security threats.
The visit not only addressed security and law enforcement but also reviewed the overall preparedness for the upcoming Assembly elections.
The officers expressed confidence in the readiness of both security forces and civil administration to handle any potential law and order situations.
